1
Wedding Dresses for all Body Shapes
2
For Pear-Shaped Women A skirt which flares out
in an A formation beginning from the waist to
the floor. This dress highlights the narrowness
of the midsection and floats away from the hips
and thighs. A spaghetti-strap bodice or a V
neckline can also be used for displaying a thin
upper body.
Keep in mind A classic A-line silhouette is
ideal for formal weddings. It could be dressed
down when made from eyelet lace or raw-silk
shantung.
3
For Apple-Shaped women A dress which offers a
small point on the waistline, then expands out
gradually in to a A shape. Select a bodice with
texture and lace detailing which can disguise and
fit smartly creating an effect similar to corset.
Keep in mind Trumpet dress styles should be
avoided. Dresses which place emphasis on the area
where the body is widest and expand at the legs
and the knees, where you are slim.
4
If You're Tall Look for The best option would
be a simple silhouette. The main objective is to
display your natural shape. So every portion like
the lower waistline, a floor-sweeping should
display your longer proportions. The gown should
not appear shorter in size.
Keep in mind A tall person can use various
embellishments bells, whistles, ruffles and
rosettes on her dress.
5
If Youre Straight-Lined Look for A simple
silhouette will create more curves than you
actually have. A sheath dress in a wispy
charmeuse with a curvy side will offer you a
va-va-va-voom silhouette.
Keep in mind For those with a small bust,
bodice with some ruching is a good option for
creating volume.
6
If You're Petite Look for Trumpet, sheath,
modified A-line gowns are good options foe petite
women. Select a style with a waistline higher
than your waist, for making the lower half of the
dress look longer. High sheen fabric is an
option.
Keep in mind Avoid dresses with a dropped
waist as they will completely hide your legs.
Also avoid calf-length dresses which will make
your legs appear shorter.
