Vitiligo is not forever
Vitiligo is a skin condition which involves loss
of melanin, the primary skin pigment, resulting
in irregular white patches.
Fortunately, XTRAC treatments can minimize and,
in many cases, even eliminate vitiligo
depigmented patches. The XTRAC excimer laser
delivers a targeted beam of UVB light and only
the areas of skin affected by vitiligo receive
the laser energy. Though the laser spot size
measures only 18mm x 18mm, due to rapid exposure
times, relatively large, discrete areas can be
treated in just 5 to 10 minutes, which is much
faster than the duration of conventional
phototherapy light sessions. And most
importantly, XTRAC treatments achieve complete

Laser Treatments for Psoriasis
 Psoriasis is one of the most baffling and
persistent of skin disorders. It's characterized
by skin cells that multiply up to 10 times faster
than normal. As underlying cells reach the skin's
surface and die, their sheer volume causes
raised, red plaques covered with white
scales. Psoriasis typically occurs on the knees,
elbows, and scalp, and it can also affect the
torso, palms, and soles of the feet.
Excimer lasers aim a high intensity ultraviolet B
(UVB) light dose of a very specific wavelength --
308 nanometers -- directly at the psoriasis
plaques. Because the laser light never touches
the surrounding skin, it reduces the risk of UV
radiation exposure. Excimer lasers are used to
treat mild-to-moderate psoriasis.

• Recognize The Skin TypeDaily care depends on the
  basic skin type which is genetically
  predetermined. By taking regular proper care,
  the physiological character of the skin type can
  be checked. There are 5 types of skin.
• Normal Skin is neither oily nor dry. The
  moisture oil content are well balanced.
• Oily Skin Has a greasy shiny look. Pores are
  often enlarged with blackheads with tendency for
  acne. More common in adolescence as their sebum
  secretion is more.
• Dry Skin Due to lack of sebum moisture. The
  skin looks feels dry to touch. Epidermal cells
  do not hold adequate natural moisture resulting
  in premature wrinkling.
• Combination Skin The most common type, it is
  partly oily and partly dry. The 'T' zone i.e.,
  forehead, nose and chin is oily, while the rest
  of the face in normal or dry.
• Mature Skin Skin starts maturing after 25 years
  of age. The natural oil moisture level drops,
  the muscale tone is decreased, blood circulation
  becomes poor, all these lead to dry, wrinkled
  sallow skin. Decrease in metabolic rate gives a
  puffy look due to accumulation of metabolites.

• An ideal cleaner should have a neutral or a
  similar pH value as the normal skin i.e. 5.5 -
  6.5.
