Before he could go on to complete his medical
studies and begin his career as a surgeon, Dr.
Thomas Taylor needed to build a foundation of
knowledge on which he could build. After leaving
Preston Catholic College, he made the decision to
move to Scotland so that he could study at the
University of Edinburgh. He completed his
undergraduate studies there before moving to
Manchester.

After he had established himself as an excellent
surgeon, Dr. Thomas Taylor made the decision to
move back to Edinburgh so that he could take the
position of Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the
Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. In this role, he was
able to pass on the benefits of his experience to
medical students, developing the teaching
techniques that would serve him well later on.

becoming a surgeon. His career saw him release
250 scientific papers and he had the privilege of

Dr. Thomas Taylor always aimed to excel as a
surgeon, which is one of the reasons why he
broadened his scope when he was a resident. In
addition to completing his residency in general
surgery, he has also developed a high level of
expertise in urology, orthopedics and cardiac
surgery. Though he is now retired, he put these
skills to use in many occasions when he was an
active surgeon.It is important to complete this
step, as it means that you will be prepared to
enter a regular routine again after the procedure
is completed, meaning you dont need to be
stressed out immediately following surgery.
