• Punjab class 5th and 8th board exams have been
  declared with pass percentage of 97 percentage.
• However as per the media reports, large number of
  students have failed to perform above 33 percent.

• Around 6675 students of 5th class scored below 33
  percent marks.
• Around 6867 students scored less than 33 percent
  scores in 8th class.

• Under the RTE Right to Education Act, students
  scoring less than 33 cannot be failed but to be
  promoted to next standard with E grade.

• PSEB 12th Result 2016 for being declared on

• The board publishes results on line and also
  offers re-evaluation if required by students.

• However, necessary measures are to be taken to
  help the students with special attention by
  schools.
• All students till class 8th are mandatorily to be
  promoted as per the current RTE Act.

• Recently the Punjab State Education Board also
  conducted the board examinations of Class 10th
  and Class 12th.
• Very soon the results of these board exams will
  also be released online in a months time.

• Results of PSEB 12th exams are expected during

• The Matriculation and Senior Secondary exams in
  Punjab were scheduled in month of February and
  March. The results of these exams will be
  declared on the official websites of Punjab State
  Education Board.
