• Why is it so important to regularly change your
  water filters?
• Filtration systems often use carbon, charcoal or
  a blend of filters to help reduce contaminants.
  These filtration systems generally reduce
  impurities in one of two ways.
• Some contaminants can be mechanically filtered
  because of their size which is enough to draw in
  the filters pores. The surface of filter media
  absorbs other contaminants and after a while, the
  surface of the filter media becomes filled and no
  more impurities can be adsorbed. In the case of
  mechanical filtration, the filters pores can
  become filled with debris causing the water not
  being able to move through the filter
  effectively.
• While the second one is easy to spot mainly
  because the flow rate of the water system slows
  dramatically, its not as easy to spot when the
  surface of the filter media has become full and
  needs to be changed.
