Swimming Instructor
2
Christopher Okeaz Ikeakhe is a skilled swimming
instructor with over a decade of experience. He
is a talented swimmer and holds certification for
all levels of swimming. Since 2011, he is a
member of a swimming club in Nevada and visits
the club daily to encourage the students who
learn swimming. For him, swimming is a form of
exercise that builds endurance and strengthens
muscles.
3
He creates a positive environment while
delivering swimming lessons to the students. He
understands the fact that all the students have
different ability, so he teaches them
accordingly. He behaves friendly with the
students so that they do not hesitate in
discussing their mistakes and learn the right
swimming techniques. For correcting the mistakes,
he is always ready to work for long hours and
provide classes on weekends too.
4
He has knowledge of different swimming strokes,
including the front crawl, backstroke, elementary
backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke, and
sidestroke. He helps the students in improving
the front crawl technique in different ways. He
advises the students to keep their stomach flat
and level to support the lower back. According to
him, one should keep the head and spine still and
relaxed, rotate shoulders and not hips to
generate the momentum through water.
5
While teaching front crawl technique, he advises
the students to keep the legs close together with
ankles relaxed and in a continuous motion. He
says the more kicks per cycle results in creating
more energy. Meanwhile, for proper breathing, one
side of the face should remain in the water and
the other side can be stretched for clear
breathing.
6
Christopher Okeaz Ikeakhe suggests to approach
the wall by taking your body into a tuck
position, bending at the hips and knees. One
should push the arms in front of the head,
squeeze the ears, with the hands one on top of
each other and twist back to the front while
moving forward.
