Short Note on MTP Kit

  inside mothers womb. Mifepristone acts as anti
  progesterone hormone and competitively binds to

Procedure to Use MTP KIT

• A woman is advised to remove all intrauterine
  devices before starting therapy with MTP kit.
• Initially at the first day, a pill of
  mifepristone is taken orally. After three days,
  four pills of misoprostol 800mcg should be used
  either orally or vaginally. Abortion will begin
  to occur after about four hours.
• If abortion has not completed, two tablets of
  misoprostol should be taken vaginally as a second
  dose.
• On fourteenth day, a woman must visit to the
  nearby doctor to confirm termination of
  pregnancy.
• Doctor performs ultrasonographic scan and
  confirms the pregnancy termination.

Safety Tips

• Do not use it to terminate ectopic pregnancy it
  can result in damage of fallopian tubes.
• It should not be used by the woman under 18 years
  of age.
• If a female is taking any corticosteroid drug, do
  not use MTP KIT.

Post Abortion Care

• A woman is advised to take complete bed rest
  after having abortion.
• Avoid physical interaction with your partner for
  few days.
• Try not to lift any heavy object for few days.
• Follow healthy nutritious diet to recover
  weakness.
