Medical University ( NEOMED) and finished his
subspecialty fellowship in Foregut, Liver,

Tampa.  Dr. Sukharamwala has been very active
in scholarly activities. He has written numerous
articles on Liver, Pancreas, bile duct tumors and
Gastroesophageal Reflux disease. He has written
book chapters and published two books on Surgical
Education. Dr. Sukharamwala performs many
operations using advanced state of the art
techniques including Robotic DaVinci   Surgery
combined with his advanced expertise in the
various diseases.

Pancreas and Bile duct) Program provides a very
comprehensive service to the surgical and medical
management of patients with benign and malignant
diseases involving the liver, gallbladder, bile
ducts, pancreas, and the esophagus.

Communicate with the Doctor As the patient
understands the disease they are suffering and
the treatments involved, it is equally important
that as a caregiver you are well verse with what
they are suffering from.  Some people feel shy
talking with a doctor. They may think it may be a
silly question. But doctors are human as well.
They will understand what you are going through
and nothing is silly as long as it is involving
someones life.   Always go with the patient to
all the appointments. Often times the old ones
are too scared or they dont ask important
questions to the doctor. After all important
decisions will be made based on the give and take
of information with the doctor. Take few hours
off from work to accompany at the doctors
appointment.   Before each appointment, write
down key concerns and a list of questions. Speak
with other family members so you also know what
they are worried about.
