How would you classify Im Here in terms of Genre?

• The genre of Im Here is a Romantic Science
  Fiction. Its this genre because of its select
  features such as the relationship between the boy
  robot and the girl robot. The relationship
  between the two robots creates a romantic
  atmosphere throughout the film although in the
  end you could say that it becomes a tragedy as
  the male robot sacrifices his body for the girl
  robot after shes involved in multiple accidents.

Representation What kind of world is represented
in the film?

• The world of Im Here is a world of class and
  prejudice. Were shown this by the way the robots
  are told they arent allowed to drive by an old
  woman, a character that is usually stereotyped by
  old fashioned, stubborn and judgemental of
  different people.
• However, the world shown in Im Here is a happy
  world as robots who are oppressed are still able
  to have feelings and to love each other. They
  still act like humans and try to be them even
  though theyre told theyre not. In the end of
  the short film, the robot sacrifices himself for
  the girl which shows that his love is triumphant
  over the injustice in that world.

How would you describe the characters?

• The Male Robot (Sheldon) The male robot is very
  nervous and awkward around people and is set in
  his ways of being a servant to man, he doesnt
  want to stand out or be different at the
  beginning of the film but as it progresses he
  becomes more and more of his own person than he
  originally was because he found love.
• The Female Robot The female robot is shown as a
  unique, different robot who looks like a new
  addition than the male does which makes her seem
  as though she is the exact opposite of the male
  robot. This makes her character seem interesting
  and helps her add to the plot of Im Here

What messages are there in the film?

• The messages in the film is that no matter what
  there is always love in the world and the robots
  are both very happy during the majority of the
  film.

The Narrative of the film

• The plot of Im Here is about a robot who has
  feelings and wants to be more human like,
  eventually he meets another robot who teaches him
  how to be like that and teaches him how to love.
  The ending is annoying as the main character
  sacrifices himself for no reason whatsoever.
  There isnt really a twist which short stories
  usually have.

Who is the audience in the film?

• The audience of Im Here is short film watchers
  and people who enjoy romantic films. I wouldnt
  say that people who enjoy Science Fiction would
  enjoy it loads because the Science Fiction side
  of it is barely touched, apart from the fact they
  are robots the world isnt really expanded and
  its more focused on the robots emotions. Its
  most likely to be viewed at a film festival or by
  a film lover who has seen it on YouTube. Absolute
  has probably sponsored it because it is an award
  winning film.
