cats is considered so critically. Although
neutering pets Is beneficial mostly, there are
some negative aspects of neutering too. Before

Advantages of neutering a pet
  • Animals population is a big concern for US.
Therefore the slaughter rate is directly
proportional to birth rate of dogs and cats.
Hence by neutering your pet, you save them from
    slaughter.
  • 50 of dogs as well as 50 cats die of breast
cancer. If they are spayed, the probability of
their breast cancer will decrease significantly.
  • Spaying also decreases the risk of uterine cancer

Advantages of neutering a pet
  • Genital surgery will also keep their behavior
like messing with discharge and spray etc in
    control
  • Gonadectomy before first uterus cycle of the
queens and canines decreases the problems
    excessive bleeding during the surgery.
  • Castration also decreases the possibilities of
    prostitis.

Disadvantages of neutering a pet
  • Reports have found that the chances of obesity in
pets rise after neutering or spaying. So if you
are going to have your pet neutered, better be
prepared for keeping him in shape later.
  • Spayed dogs have higher risks of spleen tumor and
    heart tumor
  • Probability of transitional cell carcinoma i.e.
bladder cancer also increases after the pet is
    neutered.

6
Disadvantages of neutering a pet
  • If canines are neutered before the age of 5
months, there will be more chances of Hip
    Dysplasia in them.
  • Neutered pets have higher chances of
    Hypothyroidism.
