WHAT IS CATARACT ?
A cataract is the cloudiness of the lens which
can develop either in one eye or both the eyes.
This problem of cataract can become worse with
the course of time causing vision to become
increasingly blurry, hazy and cloudy. Most
cataracts develop with age, although rarely
babies are born with cataracts or children
develop them while they are still young.

  differ between the two eyes.

• Types of Cataracts
• There are four primary cause of cataracts,
  including
• Age Related - These occur because of aging.
• Congenital - Some babies are born with cataracts
  due to injury, poor development or infection.
• Secondary - These happen because of a medical
  condition, like diabetes. In some cases they
  can also happen when you are exposed to toxic
  substances, take certain drugs, radiation or have
  ultra violet ray damage.
• Trauma - After a direct injury to the eye.

• If symptoms do not effect the normal activities
  then the surgery can be avoided
• Change in the prescription of the sunglasses
  can even delay in the cataract surgery
