What are three-parent babies?

• According to Wikipedia sources - Three-parent
  babies are human offspring with three genetic
  parents, created through a specialized form of In
  Vitro Fertilization in which the future baby's
  mitochondrial DNA comes from a third party.

• 0.1 of Third Donor

What Exactly is this Process?

• Its a genetics thinga specific method of
  in-vitro-fertilization that combined cells of two
  womens egg. It is an special process carried out
  in ivf clinic which replaces via transplantation
  the birth mothers mitochondria the energy-making
  power plants of every cell that have their own
  DNA, separate from the DNA that builds the rest
  of the body.
• -In simple term unhealthier cell of mother are
  replaced with third healthier women cells.

How its Done?

• The technique uses a modified version of IVF to
  combine the DNA of the two parents with the
  healthy mitochondria of a donor woman. It results
  in babies with 0.1 of their DNA from another

• UK is the first country to introduce laws in
  February 2015 which allow the creation of babies
  from three people.
• Is this procedure safe and legal in US/Canada?
• The process is still in research mode (Phase I -
  Clinically trails). Hence it have not been
  approved yet by FDA of United States. Perhaps in
  coming years we could expects to be availble in
  other Countries.
