Hip replacement surgery is an orthopedic
procedure in which the surgeon removes the
diseased and damaged part of the hip joint and
replaces it with an artificial part. This
operation itself is known as hip arthroplasty.
This kind of surgery is performed to replace or
reconstruct a hip joint. The artificial hip joint
is known as prosthesis. Hip prosthesis is
manufactured of metal, plastic, ceramic and many
combinations of other materials. The two main
goals of hip replacement are pain relief and
superior functioning of the hip joint.

Shoulder joint replacement surgery
The surgery of shoulder joint replacement is done
to replace a shoulder joint with an artificial
prosthesis when the joint is severely damaged by
such degenerative joint diseases like arthritis
and pain in the upper part of the arm.
