came over thirty years ago, when he started as a
concert promoter. Even then, his desire to become
the best was evident, as he was among the first
to book acts such as the Fishbone, Red Hot Chilli
Peppers, Run DMC, Social Distortion and Fear
among others. Such accomplishments helped set the
stage for a successful career in the music
industry.

Lyor Cohen Humble Beginnings
Lyor Cohens foray into the music industry began
well over thirty years ago. Back then as a
concert promoter and rap pioneer, he helped
promote acts such as Run DMC and the Red Hot
Chilli Peppers. This experience would open the
door for Lyor Cohen to become road manager for
Rush Entertainment, a successful venture he would
lead together with partner Russell Simmons.

Lyor Cohen Leading 300 Entertainment to Success
After years as the president of Recorded Music
for Warner Music Group, one of the world's
successful music companies, Lyor Cohen resigned
to co-found 300 Entertainment. Together with
partners Kevin Liles, Todd Moscowitz and Roger
Gold, Lyor hopes to establish 300 Entertainment
as a major force in the music industry through
cultivating and developing artists by use of
technology and data in ways never before seen.

Lyor Cohens experience and achievements in the
global music industry are unrivalled. He has
helped develop the careers of some of the worlds
biggest music names, and in doing so, aided the
transition of Warner Music Group from a physical

from fourth- to third-largest in the world while
achieving its highest album share in a decade.
