Title: VERRUCA TREATMENT

VERRUCA TREATMENT
2
VERRUCAS
  • Most of my patients with Verrucas have been
infected by the virus for a long time some have
tried over-the-counter products and many will
have seen their local GP or even a chiropodist
but most treatments will have been unsuccessful
and they still have the lesions on their feet.

3
  • Whilst most of them are not experiencing any
physical pain some are suffering a lot of
discomfort due to the fact that these lesions are
most of the time on weight-bearing points and
have a large build-up of calluses (Hard/Dead Skin
    Cells).

  • It is important to say that many of us feel both
socially and psychologically, the need to treat
their infection as they dont feel comfortable
being barefoot (at home, in the gym, the swimming
pool or even on holiday on the beach) and they
are aware of the fact they could spread the virus
to others (family members, partners or anyone in
    their gym).

6
  • Over the years I have aquired extensive
experience in treating this condition and I have
developed skills that enable me to offer
    excellent individually-tailored treatment.

A few facts about Verrucas
  • Caused by a Virus (HPV).
  • They are warts localized on the feet.
  • They are mainly on the sole of the foot but can
be found anywhere even close to the nail.
  • Contagious mainly in a moist/damp environment.

9
  • They can go away on their own without treatment
    (rare).
  • They can develop to a size that makes treatment
    extremely difficult.
  • No treatments are guaranteed 100 yet.

  • Most treatment will require serious commitment
and patients can experience discomfort during the
procedure, but I am proud to say that most of the
time our treatment procedures are successful even
when previous attempts at treatment have failed.

12
  • Here are the two most common treatment options,
they both have pros and cons and which treatment
is most suitable is decided after discussion with
the patient and according to their clinical
    assessment  Cryotherapy freezing
technique. Dry Needling Immune system response
    under local anesthesia.
