Common symptom

• Every woman must keep track of her period and
  understand the cycle. We all know a missed or a
  delayed menstrual cycle (period) is a pregnancy
  symptom.

Indicative symptoms

• In the early stages of pregnancy, some symptoms
  can be indicative and they include a missed
  period, tender breasts, fatigue, frequent
  urination, lower backaches, mood swings, nauseous
  and headaches.

• It is essential to take a pregnancy test
  especially, if you have been active sexually and
  conceive. A few days after conceiving, the egg
  that has been fertilized, gets attached to the
  uterus wall.

• You may experience some hormonal changes leading
  to tender, sore, or swollen breasts 1-2 weeks
  after conception.

• You may experience some tingling along with
  heaviness as well as darkening of skin around the
  nipples. As a very first sign of pregnancy, 6-12

  a times some spotting and cramping occurs.

• Unusual fatigue and exhaustion make you feel
  sleepy, due to further hormonal changes, and
  start as early as 1-2 weeks after conception.
  This may be due to rapid increase in the levels
  of progesterone.

• You may experience fatigue throughout pregnancy
  however with varying intensity. In the second
  trimester, you will feel more energetic while in
  the third trimester, fatigue will return.

• You may nauseate with or without vomiting in 2-8
  weeks of conception is another one of pregnancy
  symptoms. Nausea accompanied by vomiting called
  morning sickness may be due to smells that may
  bother you and may last throughout pregnancy.

• Headaches, though sometimes and dull lower
  backache are symptoms that may last you
  throughout pregnancy. Accompanying these symptoms
  is frequent urination that may begin in the 6-8
  weeks of conception lasting throughout pregnancy.
  It intensifies as the baby grows and exerts
  pressure on your bladder. This will lead to lack
  of sleep and additional fatigue.

• You may develop aversion to smell or sight of
  food items like bologna sandwich and coffee which
  may trigger vomiting. Certain food you enjoyed
  earlier you may find them repulsive. However, you
  may also develop some strong desires and craving
  for some food items like sweets that may last
  through out pregnancy.

• You may experience mood swings with heightened
  emotions, depressed, anxious and sometimes good.
  Food as well as hormonal changes may cause you to
  feel bloated even though the uterus is still
  small clothes fit more snugly and may feel tight
  at the waistline.

  take a pregnancy test about 6 weeks after
  spotting or a missed period. Make an appointment
  with your gynaecologist who will be able to
  confirm your pregnancy and begin prenatal care.
