Persons (AARP), almost 90 of seniors want to
remain at home as they age.
  • On the following pages, lets explore aging in
    place, and the options available to seniors.

42 of seniors would rather live in their home
with their rules than move somewhere else.
  • People want to live in the manner they have
    become accustomed to, no matter their age.
    However, this is especially true for seniors. No
    one wants to feel like they cant make their own
    decisions.

65 would rather make their own home more SAFE
and ACCESSIBLE than go elsewhere.

    seniors feel they need to live independently.

Even if I need day-to-day assistance I want to
be under my own roof, answered 82 in an AARP
survey.
  • If day-to-day activities require some assistance
    because of reduced eyesight or flexibility,
    seniors overwhelmingly still want to remain
    independent.

feel prepared in caring for an elder family
member.
