  around your fireplace. You need to allow at least
  six feet of cleared space from the fireplace. You
  need to also check what the requirement in your
  area is.

• If your fire bowl is designed to burn real wood,
  then you will be provided with a mesh cover. So,
  once the fire is lit and it burns down a little,
  make sure to cover with the mesh. By doing so,
  you can avoid sparks floating out and any
  flammable debris from blowing into the fire bowl.

  or gasoline to light the fire.
