Juvéderm Ultra and Ultra Plus

About the Procedure

• Juvéderm gel is injected into the mid to deep
  layers of the skin.

Anaesthesia and Pain

• Although Juvéderm injections cause very little
  pain or discomfort, your doctor may use an
  injectable or topical anesthetic before

Recovery

• Juvéderm soft tissue filler requires little to
  no downtime, so you can return to work or your
  daily routine immediately after treatment.
• Redness and swelling at the injection site may
  take a couple of days to disappear.

Risks and Complications

• Because Juvéderm does not contain animal
  proteins, they rarely cause allergic reactions.
• Juvéderm should not be used by women who are
  pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18.
• To lessen bruising or bleeding at the injection
  site, discontinue aspirin, non-steroidal
  anti-inflammatory medications, St. John's Wort,
  high doses of vitamin E, or other medications
  that thin the blood for one week prior injection.
