Introduction
A number of problems in science and technology
can be formulated into differential equations.
The analytical methods of solving differential
equations are applicable for limited class of
equations. Quite often differential equations
appearing in physical problems do not belong to
any one of these familiar types. So one can need
the help of numerical methods. These methods are
even more importance when we realise that
computing machines are now readily available
which reduces numerical work considerably
Differential equations arising in problems of
ballistic missiles, artificial satellite theory,
electrical networks, bending of beams, stability
of aircraft, vibration theory etc. are solved by
numerical methods
