The Komen on the Go tour is a community outreach
program with efforts to engage university
communities in the fight against breast cancer.
The tour travels across the United States raising
awareness for early detection and support in
finding a cure.

The tours stop at The University of Florida was
one of more than 150 stops across the country to
heighten awareness and drive a deeper commitment
from young women to commit to everyday health
habits to reduce their risk for the disease.

The pink semi-trailer converts into an
interactive learning center. The hands-on
experience features computer kiosks, breast
cancer educational materials and breast
self-examination guides.

The tour brought an eight-foot graffiti wall
for students to share a memory or pledge their
personal support in the cause to end breast
cancer.

Organizations across the UF campus tabled at the
event! Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, American Medical
Student Association, Healthy Gators 2010 and
Gatorwell Health Promotion Services supported the
cause.

Susan. G Komen for the cure is the worlds
largest grassroots network of breast cancer
survivors and activists fighting to save lives,
empower people, ensure quality care for all and
energize science to find the cures. For more
