Introduction to CLEW

• CLEW is a Java web application to support
  department websites.
• One of the key features of CLEW is to be able to
  dynamically change the content on the website by
  the use of forms.

• CLEWs current interface highly resembles the
  original ICS website
• CLEW interface was not created using HCI design
  techniques.

Our Project

• Goal to create a new CLEW interface using HCI
  design techniques.

Key Scenario

• An ICS student wants to login into the department
  website for the first time. The student goes to
  the login page and fills out his/her ITS account
  information. Since it is the students first
  time logging into the department website. The
  system prompts him/her to provide more profile
  information.

Design issues

• Using ITS account information, instead of
  creating a new CLEW account.
• Email Notification selection on the add profile
  information page.
• Content vs. Graphics (graphic on homepage)
• Sidebar links navigation system
• MYICS - naming
