  • Back pain
  • Osteoporosis
  • Psychological well-being

Lose/manage weight
  • Exercise will help you break through the plateau
    from diet alone. (struggling point to lose
    anymore weight)
  • Being active burns the extra calories your body
    does not need for everyday function.
  • Increases metabolic rate.
  • Exercise and healthy eating go hand-in-hand.

Hypertension
  • Caused by aging, sedentary lifestyle, high intake
    of sodium, and stress.
  • Exercise will help you avoid a sedentary
    lifestyle and keep body fat low, and also help
    cope with stress.
  • Exercise is often prescribed along with some
    medications to lower blood pressure.
  • Consistent hypertension can lead to heart
    disease, heart failure, kidney failure or stroke.

Heart disease and stroke
  • As we age, our bodys fat percentage tends to
    increase. Daily activity will help reduce this
    fat percentage.
  • Improves blood flow to the heart, eases hearts
    ability to do its job.

Diabetes
  • Diabetes is the bodys inability to correctly use
    sugar. (2 types)
  • Exercise controls the amount of fat cells as well
    as reduces the size of them.
  • This helps control blood sugar levels in the
    body.

Back pain
  • Exercise increase muscle strength and muscle
    endurance (a stronger core will prevent back
    pain).
  • Exercise will also help with your flexibility and
    posture.
  • The combination of these things will help relieve
    or avoid back pain.

Osteoporosis
  • Promotes complete formation of bones.
  • Stronger muscles will help make bones stronger.
  • Helps prevent bone loss associated with aging.

Psychological well-being
  • Endorphins are released, which improves the
    persons mood and overall feeling.
  • Improves self-esteem, self-confidence, mental
    alertness, and ability to process information.
  • Reduces stress and tension.
