Objectives

• To design and configure a 3-node Optical Network
  to facilitate services for an Enterprise Network
• To implement the above design by constructing and
  connecting the following
• 3-Node Synchronous Optical Network (SONET)
  configuration
• 10/100 Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Packet Over
  SONET (POS) configuration
• Utilizing Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) and
  Routing Information Protocol (RIP)
• Network Management configuration
• End user PCs connected

  Network utilizing Catalyst Switches and Gigabit
  Switch Routers
• Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet/OC3 POS configuration
  utilizing VLANs and RIP completed and functioning
• Network Management configuration completed and
  functioning
• End User PCs connected and verified by sending
  packets to another End User at different site
