Why proteomics ?

• Same genome different proteomes
• There is just one genome for all humans (with
  0.1 individual variations)
• And the difference between a healthy and sick
  individual is determined by the presence or
  absence of certain proteins. -gt GeneProts
  mission is to discover these proteins.

• 1600000 spectra acquired

• 18000 potential proteins
• 700 small proteins identified (8-10 x more than
  previously known)
• 50 differentially expressed proteins discovered

Business Strategy

• Working with pharmaceutical companies to
  develop new drug candiates
• Initiate our own research in order to sell
  newly discovered proteins under license
• Identify new customers for smaller
  scale proteomic research
