What is APAN?

  • APAN is an established, proven regionally
    accepted unclassified, non-dot-
  • mil, world wide web network used for virtual
    collaboration, information
  • sharing, exercise planning, training and disaster
    response coordination with
  • Pacific coalition partners and nations throughout
    the region.

CONOPS
  • APAN will be used to beta test or proof of
    concept for SCHOLAR in the PACOM AOR
  • APAN best practices and lessons learned from
    real-world crisis support and humanitarian
    assistance events used to develop collaboration
    and information sharing portal using SCHOLAR
    software applications.
  • Employ SCHOLAR to support collaboration
    learning across Pacific GPOI nations (Mongolia,
    Bangladesh, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Sri
    Lanka, Nepal, Tonga (Singapore, Australia, Japan
    Korea are supporting partners)
  • GPOI countries will become more interoperable
    through education and training initiatives
    multinational peacekeeping operations through the
    use of the SCHOLAR collaboration software
  • Linking other COCOMs using or testing SCHOLAR to
    PACOM effort
  • Share exchange information data base sources
    using SCHOLAR to collaborate and exchange
    learning management files data between JKDCC
    APAN
  • Develop SCHOLAR portal that adapts to
    culturally accepted norms to Asia-Pacific
    region coalition partners and nations
  • Exchange data and JKO learning software between
    APAN and JKO Portal
