and achieves the impossible.

Hope is the anchor of the soul, the stimulus to
action, and the incentive to achievement.

Hope is putting faith to work when doubting
would be easier.

Favorable and confident expectation.
A confident anticipation.
An expectation usually with pleasure.

Ephesians 24-8 (NKJV) 4 But God, who is rich in
mercy, because of His great love with which He
loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses,
made us alive together with Christ (by grace you
have been saved), 6 and raised us up together,

and made us sit together in the heavenly places
in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He
might show the exceeding riches of His grace in

this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope for
why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But
if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly

saying, Where did this Man get these things? And
what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that
such mighty works are performed by His hands! 3
Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and
brother of James, Joses, Judas,

and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?
So they were offended at Him. 4 But Jesus said
to them, A prophet is not without honor except
in his own country, among his own relatives, and
in his own house. 5 Now He could do no

mighty work there, except that He laid His hands
on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He
marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went
about the villages in a circuit, teaching.

Hope operates in the unseen realm!

Luke 51-10 (NKJV) 1 So it was, as the multitude
pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that
He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, 2 and saw two
boats standing by the lake but the fishermen had
gone from them and

were washing their nets. 3 Then He got into one
of the boats, which was Simons, and asked him to
put out a little from the land. And He sat down
and taught the multitudes from the boat. 4 When
He had stopped speaking, He said to

Simon, Launch out into the deep and let down
your nets for a catch. 5 But Simon answered
and said to Him, Master, we have toiled all
night and caught nothing nevertheless at Your
word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had

done this, they caught a great number of fish,
and their net was breaking. 7 So they signaled to
their partners in the other boat to come and help
them. And they came and filled both the boats, so
that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter

saw it, he fell down at Jesus knees, saying,
Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!
9 For he and all who were with him were
astonished at the catch of fish which they had
taken 10 and so also were James and John, the

sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon.
And Jesus said to Simon, Do not be afraid. From
now on you will catch men.

Luke 416-26 (NKJV) 16 So He came to Nazareth,
where He had been brought up. And as His custom
was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath
day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed
the book of the prophet

the place where it was written        18 The
Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,       Because He
has anointed Me      To preach the gospel to the
poor      He has sent Me to heal the
brokenhearted,       To proclaim liberty to the
captives      And recovery of sight to the
blind,      To set at liberty those who are
oppressed       19 To proclaim the acceptable
year of the LORD.  20 Then He closed the book,
and gave it back to the attendant and sat down.
And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue
were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to
them, Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your
hearing. 22 So all bore witness to Him, and
marveled at the gracious words which proceeded
out of His mouth. And they said, Is this not
Josephs son?23 He said to them, You will
surely say this proverb to Me, Physician, heal
yourself! Whatever we have heard done in
Capernaum, do also here in Your country. 24
Then He said, Assuredly, I say to you, no
prophet is accepted in his own country. 25 But I
tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the
days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three
years and six months, and there was a great
famine throughout all the land 26 but to none
of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in
the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

the LORD sends rain on the earth. 15 So she
went away and did according to the word of
Elijah and she and he and her household ate for

many days. 16 The bin of flour was not used up,
nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the
word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah.

Hope expects to hear from God's Servants!

Luke 427 (NKJV) And many lepers were in Israel
in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of
them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.

2 Kings 59-15 (NKJV) 9 Then Naaman went with his
horses and chariot, and he stood at the door of
Elishas house. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to
him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven
times, and your flesh shall be

Naaman became furious, and went away and said,
Indeed, I said to myself, He will surely come
out to me, and stand and call on the name of the
LORD his God, and wave his hand over the

place, and heal the leprosy. 12 Are not the
Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus,
better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not
wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went
away in a rage. 13 And his servants came near and

prophet had told you to do something great, would
you not have done it? How much more then, when he
says to you, Wash, and be clean? 14 So he went
down and dipped seven times in the Jordan,

according to the saying of the man of God and
his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little

the man of God, he and all his aides, and came
and stood before him and he said, Indeed, now I
know that

Israel now therefore, please take a gift from
your servant.

1 Kings 1841-46 (NKJV) 41 Then Elijah said to
Ahab, Go up, eat and drink for there is the
sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up
to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top
of Carmel then he bowed down on the ground, and

his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea.
So he went up and looked, and said, There is

to Ahab, Prepare your chariot, and go down

Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. 46 Then the
hand of the LORD came upon Elijah and he girded
up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the

Hope is willing to wait on the Lord irrespective
of time or circumstances!

Psalm 1305-6 (NKJV)  5 I wait for the LORD, my
soul waits,         And in His word I do
hope. 6 My soul waits for the Lord         More
than those who watch for the morning
         Yes, more than those who watch for the
morning.
