Pre - EBS

• Services submitted DI Code DTA, DTB, DTC and DTD
  transactions
• Transactions were general estimates of the type
  of supply support that may be anticipated
• Transactions also provided on-hand and due-in
  data

Post EBS

• DLA did not build the LASE functionality into EBS
• Based on current information the only
  transactions being received are from the Army (
  B14, B17, BAO and AKZ)
• DLA has not responded back to the services in
  over four years.
• Transactions falling off into cyberspace
• Efforts were made to reach out to the services
  requesting the need and to date no response has
  been received
• Proposed Change document has been sent to DLMSO
  recommending alternative viable options to LASE

• Stocked DLA Direct filled/unfilled orders
• Customer Direct PO/PR info
• Special Program Requirements
• Requisition Info

• Integrated Data Exchange (IDE)
• DoD Program which provides the services with a
  wide range on items the services procure

Proposed Alternatives to LASE

• DoD E-Mall Stock Out Report
• Proactively identifies supportability issues
  before they actually occur. Some of the info
  provided is
• Info in NIINs that are stock out or projected
  stock out
• Stock status is updated weekly
• Projected stock get well dates
• AAZ-Z items with no stock and no demands within
  last 24 hours
• DLA also currently provides the services with
  extensive data feeds that include a vast amount
  of information on individual NSNs.
