• Pacific Rim is Ring of Fire where geological
  hazards are concentrated
• Review and share knowledge on various aspects of
  Earthquakes, Tsunamis and Volcanic phenomena and
  their hazards around the Pacific Rim
• Provide interdisciplinary arena for natural
  science, civil engineering and social sciences
• Discuss and propose effective countermeasure for
  mitigating geological hazards
