THS Glass fibre products

The range of glass fibre woven fabrics is the
most extensive one. Fabrics are produced from
both continuous filament fibres and where
additional insulation values are required, from
texturised yarns. THSs vast range of fabrics
starts as light as 50grms per square metre and is
heavy as 2000grms per square metre. There are a
number of standard finishes that are applied to
give extra chemical resistance, to have better
abrasion resistance to be waterproof, etc.
Standard finishes include weavelock, aluminium
foil and film, silicone rubber, neoprene rubber,
PU, PVC, Hypalon, Viton, EPDM, Natural Rubber and
Vamac. Continous Continuous filament glass
cloths form the bulk of our standard thermal
insulation range for the use insulation jackets
and insulation mattresses. The lightweight scrims
are used for insect screening, reinforcement of
insulation cement and for the facing of
insulation slabs (please ensure you advise our
sales team of the end application - the binder
used is critical to the end application).
Standard Weights available scrims - between
55grms and 100grms thermal insulation cloths in
the main start from 200grms per sq. metre up to
800grms (in the continuous filament range) and
include 400grm and 600grm cloths. Different weave
patterns are also available. For the different
finishes, please refer to the different
coatings. Texturised glass cloths Texturised
cloths are produced from textured yarns and give
the finished cloth more bulk and therefore with
a greater thickness to that of CF cloths has
better insulation properties. Once again many
finishes can be applied to these cloths and are
used for standard protection, but also many high
temperature treatments are applied which
significantly increase the performance of the
fabrics. Based on textured fabrics, the following
articles are produced Graphtex range, Weldblock
range, Hytemp range.
