Voyages
John Franklin made his first expedition to the
Artic from 1818-1820 and was responsible for
setting up an expedition to the Copper mine river
in 1818 at the age of 24 and in 1820 at the age
of 28. From 1825-1827 Franklin made a second
expedition to the Artic. John Franklin was
knighted for his expeditions to the Artic in 1829
at the age of 39.

challenges faced
Most of franklins crew died of starvation, scurvy
and exosphere. John Franklin got caught in the
ice on his last expedition and unfortunately
died.
