• correlation of NOSB to NSES and Benchmarks
• Mentoring and follow-on programs including
  scholarships and internships

National Sea Grant College Program

• University-based research, education, and
  outreach in coastal and Great Lakes states
• Conducts sound science for sound policy
• Conveys scientific results to all users, from
  local fishermen on the docks to decision makers
  at the local, state and federal levels in forms
  that can be readily understood by users
• Develops pre-college curricula, trains K-12
  teachers in the marine sciences, provides
  fellowship opportunities for policy study in
  Washington, D.C. and for work with industry, and
  supports for graduate research assistants
