PARTNERS IN PRAYER
Matthew 1819-20 Ephesians 618
Lesson We are in a better place to discern
Gods call to prayer when we gather together
with another believer.

Ephesians 618--True prayer is in and from
the Holy Spirit, breathed by the Holy Spirit.
Spirit-breathed prayer brings us into the
most intimate conversation and communion with
God. The Holy Spirit works through the hearts
and minds of gathered believers to provide checks
and balances in the process of discerning
Gods will and to secure confirmation of the
Spirits leading through words of knowledge,
revelation, and providential circumstances,
bringing the gathered community to a heartfelt
unity regarding prayer and action.

Intercession is praying for others
interceding on their behalf.Intercession is
waiting before God, developing quietness in the
heart, listening for His still, small voice, so
that God can tap us on
the shoulder and get our attention.
Intercession is aligning ourselves--our
prayers--with Gods will and purpose.

The call to intercede can come slowly or
quickly, and the time of prayer can last for
a few minutes or more.Prayer can include
groaning or weeping and tears without words,
because we may not know how or exactly what to
pray (Romans 826-27). At the completion of an
intercession there will often be a sense of
release, accompanied by the deep
peace of God.

What happens in the intercession1.
Cultivate intimacy with God 2. Listen to His
still, small voice3. Respond to the Spirits
initiative and invitation
As a result, we will know His purpose and
be able to pray with His authority.
