of art, science, education and high-tech business
in the future.

    IIIA project
  • 5 Brokerage Events targeted at companies,
    universities and research centres, and regional
    and local authorities (ICT, life science and
    biotechnology, new materials and micro
    nanotechnologies, and business competences) with
    230 participants
  • Screening of interests of companies,
    universities etc. to cooperate, do business,
    engage in joint activities (RD, marketing etc.),
    and rent premises in Helsinki/Tallinn, results
    stored in a database
  • Fact finding activities (reports related to
    business development activities, innovation
    support mechanisms, research etc. in Helsinki and
    Tallinn regarding focus sectors of the project)
  • Piloting mutual contact points in science parks
    and incubators.

  • Key objectives of BaltMet Inno
  • Foster the role of BSR metropoles at regional,
    national, and global level as engines of economic
    growth and innovation policy makers
  • Increase common understanding and agree on
    shared interests for participating regions in the
    field of innovation policy (incl. related
    economic development policy and spatial planning
    issues)
  • Mobilise the joint interests connected with
    identified innovation potentials (and translate
    them to new business activities)
  • Scale up the profile of the BSR as a worldclass
    innovation and business environment
