Healthy Start Coalition Responsibilities

• The establishment and oversight of the Healthy
  Start system.
• Making decisions related to the use of the State
  of Florida Department of Healths funding to
  provide services for pregnant women and children
  from birth to age 3.

How Do Clients Enter the Healthy Start Program?

• Scoring on a Healthy Start risk screening that
  is completed by a health care provider.
• Referral based on factors other than screen
  score.
• Self-referral.
