  • Lesson 12
  • The Holy Spirit Gathers the Church

2
In The Last Lesson
  • Christ instituted the Lords supper for the
    forgiveness of sins.
  • Both the body and the blood and the bread and the
    wine are present at communion.
  • Those who understand and trust Gods promise
should take the Lords supper frequently to
    strengthen their faith.

3
The Apostles Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of
heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his
only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy
Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was
buried. He ascended into heaven and is seated at
the right hand of God the Father almighty. From
there he will come to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy
Christian Church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body
and the life everlasting. Amen.

and precious to him 5 you also, like living
stones, are being built into a spiritual house to
be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual
sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus
Christ. 6 For in Scripture it says See, I lay
a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious
cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will
never be put to shame. 7 Now to you who believe,
this stone is precious. 9 But you are a chosen
people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a
people belonging to God, that you may declare the
praises of him who called you out of darkness
into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a
people, but now you are the people of God once
you had not received mercy, but now you have

Romans 11-7 1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus,
called to be an apostle and set apart for the
gospel of God 2 the gospel he promised
beforehand through his prophets in the Holy
Scriptures 3 regarding his Son, who as to his
human nature was a descendant of David, 4 and who
through the Spirit of holiness was declared with
power to be the Son of God by his resurrection
from the dead Jesus Christ our Lord. 5 Through
him and for his names sake, we received grace
and apostleship to call people from among all the
Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.
6 And you also are among those who are called to
belong to Jesus Christ. 7 To all in Rome who are
loved by God and called to be saints Grace and
peace to you from God our Father and from the
Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 1347-50 Once again, the kingdom of
heaven is like a net that was let down into the
lake and caught all kinds of fish. 48 When it was
full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore.
Then they sat down and collected the good fish in
baskets, but threw the bad away. 49 This is how
it will be at the end of the age. The angels will
come and separate the wicked from the righteous
50 and throw them into the fiery furnace, where
there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
