Traumatic brain injury (TBI) can lead to changes
in personality, behavior, cognitive and physical
abilities as a result of damage to brain cells.
My project increased our understanding of the
role zinc plays in the cell death processes that
occur following TBI. These results will
contribute to improved treatments for TBI
survivors.
