Christian Basics- (Core Beliefs)
  • Nature of God
  • One God (Deut.435, 64, 3239 2 Sam. 722 1
    Chronicles 1720 Psalms 8318, 8610 Isaiah
    446, Isaiah 448, Isaiah 455-6, Numbers 2319,
    Isaiah. 4310-11, Isaiah 4521, Isaiah 469,
    Isaiah 428)
  • God is all powerful (omnipotent Jer. 3217,27)
  • All knowing (omniscient 1 Chr. 289 Ps. 4421
    Isa. 6618 Matt. 94 1 John 320 1 Cor. 320
    )
  • Everywhere at once (omnipresent Deut. 439
    Psalms 1398, Proverbs 153, Isaiah 661,
    Jeremiah 2324, Acts 1727)
  • Eternal (Isaiah 5715 Ps. 902, 932, 10227
    Mal. 36 1 Tim. 117 Rev. 2213)
  • Bible refers to the Father as God, Christ as God
and the Holy Ghost as God

3
Christian Basics- (Core Beliefs)
  • Nature of God
  • The Father is spirit and can not be seen.
    (Exodus 3320 John 118 1 Tim. 616 John
    646)
  • Jesus is God in human flesh. (John 11,14)
  • Holy Spirit, is the third person of the Trinity

4
Christian Basics- (Core Beliefs)
  • Nature of Man
  • Prior to the Fall of Adam Man was sinless,
    perfect and good. (Gen 131)
  • "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the
world, and death by sin and so death passed upon
all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans
    512)
  • For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God. For ye have not
received the spirit of bondage again to fear but
ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby
we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth
witness with our spirit, that we are the children
of God  And if children, then heirs heirs of
God, and joint-heirs with Christ if so be that
we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified
    together. (Romans 814-17)

5
Christian Basics- (Core Beliefs)
  • Sin
  • "So then as through one transgression there
resulted condemnation to all men..." (Romans
    518)
  • "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the
world, and death by sin and so death passed upon
all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 512)
  • For the wages of sin is death (Romans 623)
  • without shedding of blood there is no
    forgiveness. (Hebrews 922)

6
Christian Basics- (Core Beliefs)
  • Salvation
  • Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans
    51)
  • Knowing that a man is not justified by the works
of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ,
even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we
might be justified by the faith of Christ, and
not by the works of the law for by the works of
the law shall no flesh be justified. (Gal. 216)
  • But that no man is justified by the law in the
sight of God, it is evident for, The just shall
    live by faith. (Gal 311)
  • Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring
us unto Christ, that we might be justified by
faith. But after that faith is come, we are no
longer under a schoolmaster. (Gal. 324-25)

7
Christian Basics- (Core Beliefs)
  • Salvation
  • But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
    (Romans 58)
  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    (John 316)
  • That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation. For the scripture saith,
Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
    (Romans 109-11)

8
Christian Basics- (Core Beliefs)
  • Heaven
  • The First Heaven Earth Atmosphere (Deut. 1117,
    Deut. 2812 Judges 54 Acts 1417)
  •      The Second Heaven  Outer Space (Psalm
    194,6 Jeremiah 82 Isaiah 1310)
  •      The Third Heaven  God's Dwelling Place (1
    Kings 830 Psalm 24 Matthew 516 1 Kings
    827 Deut. 1014)

9
Christian Basics- (Core Beliefs)
  • Hell
  • Unquenchable Fire     Matt. 312 "And His
winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will
thoroughly clear His threshing floor and He will
gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn
up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
  • Fiery Hell     Matt. 522, "whoever shall say,
'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the
fiery hell." See also, Matt. 529,30.
  • Fiery Hell     Matt. 188-9, "And if your hand
or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off
and throw it from you it is better for you to
enter life crippled or lame, than having two
hands or two feet, to be cast into the eternal
fire. 9"And if your eye causes you to stumble,
pluck it out, and throw it from you. It is better
for you to enter life with one eye, than having
two eyes, to be cast into the fiery hell."
  • Eternal Fire     Matt. 2541, "Then He will also
say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me,
accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has
been prepared for the devil and his angels.
  • Eternal Punishment     Matt. 2546, "And these
will go away into eternal punishment, but the
righteous into eternal life."     The word
'eternal' in both places is "aionios" which means
1)without beginning and end, that which always
has been and always will be 2)without beginning
3)without end, never to cease, everlasting. The
word 'punishment' is the word kolasis and it
means "to punish, with the implication of
resulting severe suffering - 'to punish,
    punishment.'"
  • Eternal Fire     Jude 17, "Just as Sodom and
Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they
in the same way as these indulged in gross
immorality and went after strange flesh, are
exhibited as an example, in undergoing the
    punishment of eternal fire."
  • Lake of Fire     Rev. 2015, "And if anyone's
name was not found written in the book of life,
he was thrown into the lake of fire."
