Title: In The Name of Allah God Most Gracious Most Merciful
1In The Name of Allah (God) Most Gracious Most
Merciful
2Who am I?
- I have much reason to rejoice, And praise Allah
in a grateful voice, - Because Im happy and content, With all the
favours Allah sent. - He created me so perfectly, And he did it all so
lovingly, - While showing me the way to go, No wonder that I
love him so. - Therefore to him I bow and pray, And try to obey
him every day, - While believing in his prophets too, Who came to
show us what to do. - One more thing Id like to say, Therell be
another life one day, - And this I do believe my friend, That death is
not the final end. - So I am a Muslim, as you can see, A special
person, you must agree, - Thats who I am and Im so proud, I feel like
saying it loud and loud.
3What is Islam?

of peace, mercy, and forgiveness.
4What does Islam mean?
- The Arabic word Islam simply means 'submission',
and derives from a word meaning 'peace'. In a

14Sawm (Fasting)
Pillar 3
- Every year in the month of Ramadan, all able
Muslims fast from dawn until sundown abstaining
from food, drink. - Fasting is an act of worship to bring us closer
to Allah.
15Zakah
Pillar 4
- It is a welfare contribution.
- The Arabic world of Zakah means to purify or
cleanse
16Hajj (Pilgrimage)
Pillar 5
- The pilgrimage to Makkah- the hajj- is an
obligation only for those who are physically and
financially able. - The rites of the hajj originate from the time of
Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him). These rites
include going around the Kabah seven times and
going seven times between the hills of Safa and
Marwa as did Hagar (Abrahams wife) during her
search for water.
17And proclaim unto mankind the pilgrimage. They
will come unto thee on foot and on every lean
camel they will come from every deep ravine.

18The pilgrims later during hajj stand together on
the wide plain of Arafat (a large expanse of
desert outside Makkah) and join in prayer for
Gods forgiveness, in what is often thought as a
preview of the day of Judgment.
19Why do Muslims cover up?
The Qur'an says that Muslims should lower their
gaze and dress modestly. Both men and women are
expected to dress in a way that is both modest
and dignified and should wear loose
clothing. There is a wide variety of Muslim
clothing and what Muslims wear often depends on
what country they live in.
