Insurance Coverage
  • ISU is working to provide insurance coverage,
    including evacuation and repatriation, for
    students studying abroad
  • Cost estimates for the insurance have been built
    in to the costs of the program
  • However, the insurance agreement has not yet been
    finalized
  • Further details will be supplied as soon as we
    have confirmation

Costs of the Rome Program
  • Two categories of costs
  • U-bill
  • Out-of-pocket
  • Many U-bill costs will be due on May 20, 2009
    (summer students) and August 20, 2009 (fall
    students)
  • Out-of-pocket costs will occur this spring in
    Ames for both groups and in Rome either this
    summer or fall

Withdrawal Penalties
  • Apply in ISUAbroad by March 4, 2009
  • Students accepted must commit by March 9, 2009
  • Committing to program makes a student an official
    participant of the program and he or she will be
    responsible for financial penalties if withdrawal
    occurs

Summer Withdrawal Penalties
  • After committing and before March 25, 2009 200
  • On March 25, 2009 and before April 29, 2009 half
    of program fee or 1,450
  • On or after April 29, 2009 full program fee or
    2,900

  • After committing and before March 25, 2009 200
  • On March 25, 2009 and before July 1, 2009 half
    of program fee or 1,500
  • On or after July 1, 2009 full program fee or
    3,000
