4Josh 510-61 While the Israelites were camped
at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho, they
celebrated Passover on the evening of the
fourteenth day of the first month the month
that marked their exodus from Egypt.
511 The very next day they began to eat unleavened
bread and roasted grain harvested from the land.
612 No manna appeared that day, and it was never
seen again. So from that time on the Israelites
ate from the crops of Canaan.
713 As Joshua approached the city of Jericho, he
looked up and saw a man facing him with sword in
hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, "Are you
For us or the enemy?"
814 "No He said, rather I indeed come now as
captain of the host of the LORD."
9And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and
bowed down, and said to him, "What has my lord
to say to his servant?"
1015 The captain of the LORD'S host said to Joshua,
" Remove your sandals from your feet, for the
place where you are standing is holy." And
Joshua did so.
