HAC in Tennessee
  • HAC has provided 44 loans and grants to 14 rural
    nonprofits in Tennessee since 2001. Totaling
    2.45 million, this funding has helped or is
    helping build 153 homes. Some funds are also
    helping build the capacity of local nonprofits.

Technical Assistance
  • Assistance to those involved in the improvement
    of housing conditions for low-income residents in
    the rural United States.
  • Most of this help goes to local governments,
    private developers, and nonprofit organizations.

Loan Funds and Self-Help Housing Grants
HAC provides low-interest loans to finance
affordable housing projects in rural communities.
Loans are available to support projects at all
stages of the development process, from
predevelopment through construction. Also
available are specialized grants to support
self-help housing.

Affordable and mixed-income housing projects in
rural communities nationwide.
Financing is available for single- and
multi-family housing, with various forms of
ownership and using traditional and alternative
models of land tenure.
