CITY TARGET PROGRAM of preparation and carrying
out in Ukraine final part of European football
championship of 2012 year city Kharkiv

• City target program of preparation and carrying
  out in Ukraine final part of European football
  championship of 2012 year. City Kharkiv, adopted
  by the decision of 23 session of 5th convocation
  Kharkiv city council from
• 20 June 2008y. ? 185/08, including changes
  (up to 15.11.2008y.)
• Program consists of 21 tasks, which are formed
  according to UEFA requirements, correspondent
  Government guarantees, Kharkiv city mayor
  guarantees and State target program of
  preparation and carrying out in Ukraine final
  part of European football championship of 2012
  year adopted by Cabinet of Ministers of Uklraine
  decree from 22 February 2008 year ? 107.
• Total prognosis amount of program measures is
  9128,84 mln. hrn., including 1135, 16 mln.hrn.
  State budget funds (12,44 total amount of
  financing) 844,82 mln. hrn. local budget funds
  (9,26) including budget of the city Kharkiv
  372,01 mln. hrn. (4,07 total amount, 34 local
  financing) 7148,86 mln.hrn. (78,30) other
  sources (investors, own funds etc.).
• City program is one of mechanisms of preparation
  and carrying out in Ukraine final part of
  European football championship of 2012 year.
  Tasks, ????????? and measures of the program are
  an equal basis for detailed complex plans of
  preparation of concrete objects (stadiums,
  airport, hotels, medical establishments etc.),
  according to UEFA requirements.

Fan-zone Svobody square
On 12th of September , in the central square of
the city Kharkiv Svobody square. It was held a
charity concert in the program of the "Anti AIDS"
on the verge ". More than 30 thousand spectators
came to see the charity concert "Queen" Paul
Rodgers " .
Freedom Square - is the main area of the city, a
monument of architecture - the size is the first
in Europe and fourth in the world. It regularly
holds various events - festivals, fairs,
concerts, demonstrations, meetings. Central
object round of the area has a unique historical
and architectural monument - state, home state
industry. Built in 20 of 20 centuries. It became
the first high - rise across the country, its
total area of 11 thousand square meters and the
length of the facade - 300 meters. On the right
hand of the Gosprom building is located Kharkiv
National University after V. N.Karazin - one of
the largest and oldest (founded in 1805)
universities. And along with it was opened in
1906 the monument to the founder V.N. Karazin.
Ensemble complete the eight-area hotel Kharkiv
and the building of the Regional Council of
People's Deputies, built in 1954 on the site of
the destroyed during the war.

Expected
resultsAs a result of Program execution it is
foreseen -Providing of Championship execution
in accordance with UEFA requirements , that will
positively influence image of Ukraine as
European country and c. Kharkiv as modern city
second in Ukraine -Till the end of 2009 year to
reconstruct the stadium Metalist for 41 955
places that corresponds to the FIFA and UEFA
requirements, which provides the possibility of
carrying out different level competitions,
rising of native and foreign fans and tourists
-Equipment of training bases, foundation of
children football academy, which will
considerably improve conditions for native
football competitions conduction and trainings of
Kharkiv and Ukrainian teams -Considerably
improve transport infrastructure of the city
reconstruction of the airport, building of a new
underground stations, purchasing of new trams and
trolley-buses, building, reconstruction, major
repairs of road economy -Reconstruction and
widening of the hotel economy, that will
correspond to European standards -To create a
city attractive to tourists due to "intensive
care" of tourism industry -Reconstruct
architectural monuments, buildings of theaters
and museums updating and bringing to a proper
state of all forms of home ownership -Ensure
the tourist appeal of the city by improving the
local tourism infrastructure to the European
level, and its interaction with foreign partners
-To attract investment amounting to more than
7148 million USD -To increase the number of
working places that should be attractive to
residents of the city -To increase the amount
of additional revenue in the budget -To attract
