Knowledge Community Purpose
  • The New Professionals and Graduate Students
    (NPGS) Knowledge Community serves the needs of
    new professionals and graduate students. The
    knowledge community provides opportunities for
    new professionals to network and develop
    professionally. NPGS activities include regional
    new professionals institutes and special planned
    events at the annual conference.

NPGS and GLBT Joint Conference Reception
  • The KC will again collaborate with the GLBT
    Issues KC to host a reception at the National
    Conference in Tampa. This reception will be held
    from 700 p.m. 900 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom
    Salon D of the Tampa Marriott. There will be a
    reception, recognition program and door prizes.

NPGS Conference Scholarship Program
  • The NPGS Scholarship will pay for Conference
    Registration to the
  • NASPA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.
    (March 2006)

  • Criterion for Selection
  • Must be a NASPA Member
  • Must be a New Professional (5 years or less
    professional experience)
  • or a Graduate Student
  • Must work at or be attending a college or
    university
  • Must be personally financing at least 50 of
    conference expenses
  • Should be active with NPGS and or NASPA either
    regionally or nationally or with NASPA in general

  • In order to send messages to a listserv, one
    must be a member of the listserv. Once a
    subscribing member sends a message, the system
    takes a short while to authenticate the message
    and then will send it out to all subscribers.

    knowledge pertinent to the specific knowledge
    community and discussions on professional topics.
