  • UAF Student
  • UAF Faculty
  • UAF Staff
  • Significant other (of above)
  • with the SRC privilege

Not Eligible for Intramural Play
  • UAF college athletes may not
  • participate in their competing sport
  • UAF Alumni
  • Children of Students, Faculty, or Staff

What you need to play!
  • Polar Express card with the SRC privilege
  • (if you forget you Polar Express Card picture
    ID and payment statement of paid 75 SRC fee)
  • Extra pair of shoes to enter the building
  • Must have signed the team entry form
  • Must have paid your 7 participation fee

Team Rosters
  • Appropriate Team Name
  • Signed waiver and consent for emergency
  • treatment
  • Cant change teams once one game is played
  • Roster forms must be in 24 HOURS prior to
  • game time

Liability
  • WAIVER AND CONSENT FOR EMERGENCY TREATMENT
  • I am aware that participating in this intramural
    activity involves several inherent risks of
    bodily injury. In consideration to the right to
    participate in this activity, I waive and release
    any and all rights and claims for damage I may
    have against the University of Alaska, its Board
    of Regents, officers, employees and agents, for
    any and all injuries suffered while participating
    in this activity unless such injury is caused by
    the gross negligence of the University of Alaska.
    I give consent to emergency treatment, including
    hospitalization as may be needed. I hereby agree
    to submit any disputes that may arise between
    myself and the University of Alaska, its agents,
    servants, and or employees, in the connection
    with my intramural activities at the University
    of Alaska, to binding arbitration in accordance
    with the rules of the American Arbitration
    Association. I am in good health and able to
    undertake in an intramural program.

Captains Role
  • Attend meetings
  • Maintain frequent contact with Intramural Office
  • Notify teammates of any game time change
  • Know the rules
  • Maintain current roster
  • Control sportsmanship

Forfeits
  • Forfeits occur when
  • A team has an ineligible player
  • A team is not ready to play at the scheduled
    start time
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct
  • Not having required number of players
  • Two forfeits results in your team being
  • dropped from the current league.

Postponements/ Reschedule
  • We are willing to cooperate in extraordinary
  • circumstances
  • Unable to attend your scheduled game
  • 48 HOURS ADVANCED NOTICE
  • Reschedule
  • Loss of game not counted as a forfeit

Protests(assure justice to a player/team)
  • You may only protest rule interpretations
  • You may NOT protest judgment calls
  • Protest MUST be made at TIME OF
  • INCIDENT and before any action
  • continues

Eligibility Protests
  • Must be made before the game ends
  • Must follow up within 24 hours in writing to
  • the Intramural Director
  • The Director of Intramurals will make the final
    decision.
  • MUST HAVE SRC PRIVLEGE STUDENTS, STAFF, FACULTY
    AND THEIR SPOUSES
  • XXALUMNI XXCHILDREN

Ejections
  • Ejected player is suspended from ALL intramural
    activities until their disciplinary meeting
  • Before you leave the site, see the scorekeeper
  • Two ejections in the same sport makes them
    ineligible for the rest of the current league

Conduct of participants
  • Unsportsmanlike Behavior
  • Profanity
  • Unnecessary delay of game
  • False I.D.
  • Strike/shove an official
  • Argue with official on a judgment call
  • Derogatory or abusive remarks
  • Actions with intent to harm
  • Action showing disregard to program
  • Violation of the UAF code of conduct

Alcohol, Drugs, and Animals
  • No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol
    may participate
  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in any
    intramural area
  • Glass bottles or cans are prohibited in and on
    playing areas. (Sports bottles excluded)
  • No animals are allowed in UAF buildings

Equipment
  • The Intramural Department will provide the
    necessary
  • basic equipment for all games
  • Unsafe equipment will be removed
  • Schedules will state what color of uniform is to
    be worn (light
  • or dark) , let the intramural staff know if you
    have your own jerseys
  • Flag Football
  • - Belt loops are prohibited.
  • - Shirts must be tucked in or tied up away from
    flags.
  • - No short pockets OR they must be taped
    up.
  • Basketball Numbers must be worn

Playoffs(Single Elimination Tournament)
  • Players must have played in at least ONE regular
  • season game (first 5 weeks of play)
  • Regular season win/loss records will determine
    whether
  • teams place are placed in the upper or
    lower division
  • Win 3 points
  • Tie 2 points
  • Loss 1 point
  • Forfeit -2 points
  • Playoffs are played any day of the week (Sunday
    Thursday) without rescheduling
