to face with institutional and personal
practices, policies, beliefs and behaviors that
create inequities for poor students and students
of color. -

- Being part of the process launched by this
national initiative has caused a level of
insightful reflection that we had not
anticipated. Individuals and whole departments
have reflected on their personal and collective
belief systems about what they are teaching, the
demographics of a changing world, education
reform and accountability.
