Ayurveda is known for its purity and its
effective uses in various ailments. As per the
resources, AIIMS is planning to collaborate with
the All India Institute of Ayurveda and the
central council of research to increase the
probability of treating cancerous diseases with
Ayurvedic herbs. Its a great initiative by the
Institute for ailment treatments through the use
of alternative medicines. Ayurveda, a
well-known Diversified Alternative medicinal
treatment sector that is in use for ages has
treated several diseases like cancer, diabetes,
paralysis, etc. But it is one of the oldest
medicinal treatments, many of its treatment
proofs are in books or manuscripts. Cancer is
the leading cause of death between the age of
45- 64 years in the majority of developed
countries. According to a pilot study done by the
AIIMS, Ayurvedic herbs and drugs help in
reducing breast cancer. Ayurveda various herbal
that have the characteristics to reduce cancer
in numerous ways. Also, it has been in use since
ancient times. These herbs are scientifically
proven but in the modern sciences, it needs more
research. It is hard to believe 100 percent that
Ayurvedic herbs can cure cancer purely. Ayurvedic
Herbs that help in curing cancer-

Amla -
It is Ayurvedic herbs available across the earth.
In general, it is the king of rejuvenation. It
is a rich source of Vitamin C. It contains
quercetin, gallic acid, tannins, flavonoids,
pectin, and various polyphenolic compounds.
According to various laboratory trials, Amla
extracts have proven effects to kill and stop
the growth of cancerous cells without harming the
natural cells. Ginger -
It is a common ayurvedic herbs that is in use to
treat diseases like cold fever, Menstrual pain,
cough, nausea, etc. It has an anti-inflammatory
property that stops cancerous cells from growing
and it has the property to destroy the cancer
cells. One of the best uses of ginger is to
reduce gastrointestinal cancer. A compound like
Zerumbe that is being found in Ginger has anti-
inflammation and anti-tumour properties.

Garlic -
One of the commonly used natural food supplements
that are being used in food regularly. Garlic
has bio-active compounds made from allicin. EPIC
( European Prospective Investigation of Cancer
and Nutrition) has done a study in 10 countries
where they found that consumption of Garlic on a
high ratio has reduced the risk of
cancer. Tulsi -
Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) is also known as Holy
Basil in English. It is ayurvedic herbs which
consists of various Pharmacological activities
such as Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant,
Antitumor, chemopreventive, and antibacterial.

Turmeric -
Turmeric ( Haldi) has numerous anti-cancer
properties as per the research. It has
antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic
properties. The main compound of turmeric is
curcumin which reduces the free radicals and
inhibits the growth of cancerous cells without
inhibiting healthy cells. Ashwagandha -
Ashwagandha, The ayurvedic herbs is also known as
Ginseng. It helps in reducing the stress on the
body. It has a crystalline Steroidal compound
(Withaferin A) which makes Ashwagandha
Anti-cancerous. With the change in the living
standard and food habits, the risk of cancer is
getting increased day-by-day. Also, one of the
major reasons for cancer and its causes of death
is smoking. There is a slight high in the
percentage of smokers in various countries.
Tobacco kills almost 8 million people every
year. Almost 7 million caused death due to direct
smoking use and almost 1.2 million caused death
in non-smokers that are

secondhand or passive smoking. Almost 80 (1.3
billion) of people who consume tobacco are from
low or middle-income countries (WHO data of the
year 2022). To quit tobacco, there are many
Ayurvedic herbs available in the market which
will not only reduce the risk of cancer but also
give a new life after quitting tobacco.
