  • current site is an Intranet designed primarily
    for the four (now five) partners
  • some concessions to external use (links to
    partners, CDIO description)
  • excellent resource for partners w/ready access to
    all CDIO materials
  • burned copies offer portable CDIO resource for
    partners, others
  • KEY VALUES
  • comprehensive virtually all CDIO materials
    posted
  • simple emphasis on simplicity, navigability,
    download speedcurrent materials posted,
    corrected in timely fashion
  • relevant overseen by active Initiative
    participant (as opposed to external Webmaster)
    ensures appropriateness, logic, timeliness,
    comprehensive content

EVOLUTION
  • EVOLUTION IS IMPERATIVE
  • Partnership expanding placing additional
    challenges and responsibilities on the site as
    main info. exchange tool

    with/unsold on CDIO

WEB OBJECTIVES
  • to be the comprehensive source of CDIO-related
    information and tools for all CDIO Initiative
    members so that they may readily access the
    materials and information they require to
    effectively participate in the initiative and
    implement CDIO in their institutions
  • to provide a forum for information exchange so
    participants may fully benefit from each others
    experiences
  • to introduce potential participants and other
    interested parties to the CDIO concept and allow
    them to follow he Initiatives progress so they
    will understand the initiatives tenets and see
    the value of a CDIO-based education
  • to foster a sense of community in the
    participants, enhancing their commitment to the
    initiative and encouraging teamwork and interplay
    among institutions
