The latest electric cars advantage and energy
efficiency advantage

• Latest Electric cars(EV) have advantages over
  fuel cell vehicles (FCV) in certain areas, which
  makes EVs a better choice in certain
  applications. The efficiency of EV is
  unparalleled, and it always requires more energy
  from point A to point B of the FCV. The most
  efficient production EV currently available is
  the 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV, which has an EPA
  rating of 260 Wh/mile city/310 Wh/mile
  highway/280 Wh/mile combination (equivalent to
  128 MPGe city/109 MPGe highway/119 MPGe merge).
  The higher efficiency is partly due to the
  ability to capture regenerative braking energy,
  but also because the electrochemical reaction in
  the battery is more effective than the reaction
  in PEMFC. In order for FCV to regain regenerative
  braking energy, the PEMFC system must also act as
  an electrolyzer to decompose water into H2 and
  O2. This will require a source of water on the
  vehicle, which can be pumped through the fuel
  cell. This water source will take up space and
  may be exhausted during long trips, and it will
  also require supplemental water. Obtaining water
  leaving the fuel cell cathode will increase the
  complexity of the system, while obtaining water
  from sources outside the vehicle will require
  additional pipelines.

• EV is also a relatively simple technology and
  does not require too much manufacturing cost. In
  fact, for commuters or city cars, especially for
  drivers who never need to drive far and can
  charge their electric cars in the garage at
  night, electric cars are hard to beat. The
  efficiency ranges from traditional internal
  combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric
  vehicles, with FCV in the middle.Electric
  vehicles are also more responsive than FCV
  drawing current from the battery is faster than
  (1) pumping hydrogen from the fuel tank and (2)
  supplying gas to the fuel cell to (3) generating
  equivalent electricity in the PEMFC. Provide
  power to the electric motor that drives the
  vehicle.
