Corporate Program Process
  • The IEEE-SA Corporate Program fosters the
    development of industry-relevant global standards
    through an equitable and timely process
  • Payment of the Entity Project Participation (EPP)
    Fee is a mandatory requirement for entities to
    participate as a voting member in an entity-based
    working group

Entity Project Participation (EPP) fee
  • US 4,000 annualized project fee over the life
    cycle of the project
  • Per company
  • Per project
  • Per year
  • Payable upon approval of the Project
    Authorization Request and annually until the
    draft is approved as an IEEE Standard

EPP Fee Benefits
  • Any company that desires membership and voting
    rights in an entity-based working group shall pay
    this fee
  • Membership is attained upon payment of the EPP
    fee. Privileges include
  • The ability to make technical contributions to
    the draft
  • The ability to make and speak to motions at
    meetings
  • Other privileges, as dictated by working group
    policies and procedures (e.g., the ability to
    view the private area of the web site,
    subscription to the members email list)
  • Voting rights are attained upon fulfillment of
    membership upon meeting any other requirements
  • Some working group policies and procedures
    require an entity to meet an attendance
    requirement
  • Some sponsors have additional requirements for
    voting membership in a working group

Decision on EPP fee payment
  • Through these slides, you have been informed of
    the fee and can make a decision on your companys
    level of participation in this working group
  • If you wish to have voting rights in this working
    group, you must notify your working group chair
    within 30 days of this notice that you want to
    pay the EPP fee
  • If you have any questions about the fee to help
    make your decision, please contact the EPP fee
    administrator at c.bahn_at_ieee.org

If you decide to pay the EPP fee
  • Give required information to your chair at this
    meeting, or contact your chair within 30 days of
    this meeting
  • Required information
  • IEEE-SA Project number
  • Billing mailing address
  • Billing contact information (name, address, phone
    number, email)
  • Participant name, email address, phone number (if
    different from billing contact)
  • Please specify if a purchase order is required
    prior to sending invoice
  • 30 days after this meeting, your chair will
    supply the list to IEEE-SA EPP fee administrator

  • Payment terms
  • Net 30 days for invoice payments
  • Payment must be made in US dollars
  • Can be made by wire transfercontact Accounts

  • Reminders sent at end of two additional months
    date of invoice
  • Fee late after 30 days
  • Gives you 90 days from todays notice to pay this
    fee

EPP fee payment
  • Once payment is received
  • Chair is notified and you can continue to have
    voting rights in working group
  • If payment is not received
  • Chair is notified that voting rights are
    rescinded
  • Participant may continue as observer
  • May pay fee later during standard development if
    voting rights in working group are desired
